Food!

Each night, two different CELL students cook dinner for our group in our vegetarian kitchen, where we have mostly whole, unprocessed, ingredients that come from environmentally-friendly sources. Most of our produce comes from Sunna, which is the gigantic greenhouse here at Sólheimar, and the plethora of dairy products we have are sourced from nearby farms. We’ve been learning how to incorporate a spectrum of nutrients into our meals to sustain a healthy, energizing diet. Tonight Joe (from New York state) and Jiaorui (from China) are cooking a delicious-looking meal! Composting is a big deal here too, and the composted materials go to feed the greenhouse.
